Phase III Complete and Prayer Answered

We drove over the Jordan today - Phase III is complete!  See link below for more details:

Crossing back over the Jordan
This past Sunday a scripture was posted:  Luke 10:2 - Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.  Today that prayer was answered with another fellow-laborer who worked by our side all day.  We have been able to share the Word with him this past week, and he (by his freedom of will) volunteered to help us today – what a blessing.

The weather was perfect.  This morning it looked like it might rain, however we claimed a dry day (which it was).  In the afternoon the sun popped out, and it was much warmer.  Our new local volunteer didn’t bring a hat and found a palm leaf (not sure of the specific name) to use on his head for shade.  We all had a good laugh then he said, “God gave us a mind to use it”.

After working all day we were blessed with a local Belizean meal that was cooked on an outside stove known as a “fire hot” in Creole.

What LTA Needs!

Many people ask us what we need. And of course the need changes from day
to day, but for today here are some items.

1. Frequent Flyer Miles: If you have any Delta, Continental, American Airlines or US Air frequent flyer miles and they are not being used, we can definitely use them. Especially Delta airlines! We would pay the transfer fee, so there would not be any expense for you.
Just email me at: LTA.Anthony@Gmail.com

2. Volunteer staff for San Pedro: After the staff house is acquired (April 12th) we need 3-5 people (volunteers) at the staff house. There are several functions that need to be performed while there and a schedule is being developed to show the open slots. We will present the details of volunteering if you request: LTA.Mailus@Gmail.com

3. School Sponsorship: On the http://www.livingtreeacademy.org/ website, we have setup a sponsorship plan. This is available for an individual or group to sponsor an LTA School or Volunteer for 25.00 US a month. All donations are tax deductible.

As always, we look forward to seeing you here, there, San Pedro or in the Air.

Fund Raising!

Every (non-profit) training class that I have attended always seems to come back to raising funds for the organizations existence. Many times this is a “turn off” to me. We started this venture to accomplish great things for God’s people around the world. Therefore, to spend 80% of our effort in gaining financial support seems counter productive. But, it is still always an issue. With most people that have been presented the mission and goals for LTA, the first concern always seems to be money. “How will you pay for it?”

LTA has been functioning for almost 10 years. During this time we have tried various short term programs, but they were mainly designed to get the name out: for awareness!
Rather than looking to receive, we have put our entire focus on giving and serving. The amazing thing about this approach is we never have excess, but we never have lack either. At times, when we look to our own ability, there is sense of discouragement. But, when we look to God, there is always an “I CAN DO!” attitude.

Now, with the purchase of property, establishing a staff house, hiring a staff and building the vision; our “Live to Serve” attitude is being challenged even more. Therefore, we will push ourselves to give and serve in even a greater capacity. So we can all watch and see what HE (GOD) will perform.

The walk is a day-by-day reality; as you do your
part for God today, God will open up unto you
the way that you should go,
