Clean up Days and Survey Begins

The past two days have been cleanup days around the property.  To our surprise the tide did not bring in water this month as it has the past two months (we still haven’t figured that one out) nor had it rained for a while.  Therefore with the water not rising, we were able to clear and clean more of the surrounding area.  With the abundance of sea grass given to us from the beachside, we have been able to toss it onto the muddy soil and step out on dryer land.

Today we began the land survey so we know the perimeter of the property.  Last night we had a significant storm and the water was higher around the LTA road.  The survey was stopped for the afternoon and will reconvene on Monday.  After the survey is completed, we will be able to identify and mark off the site for our first building.  The construction is scheduled to begin the first of August.  Please pray!

Work Continued and Meeting with Mayor

Today we continued to see the property rise with sea grass donated from our neighbors.

We also had a meeting with the mayor of San Pedro who agreed to supply the town truck for collecting sea grass on the north side.  The truck has a regular routine through the town during the week, but the mayor said she would arrange for the truck to help us on the weekend.  At the end of our meeting we prayed with the mayor for her upcoming condos to sell (so be in agreement and prayer with us to see this come to pass).  Let’s see signs follow believers!

We also found out that the adjacent property to LTA is owned by the mayor’s brother.  The day was filled with blessings.  Thanks for your continued support and prayers!

Phase I of Property Begins

Today officially began Phase I of the property.  What a day of rejoicing!

We still had some core (gravel) left from the road so a turn around was built onto the property.  We had planned to build a “round about” however with only a small amount of core enough was laid out for the turn around.

We visited some of our “neighbors” including resorts in the surrounding areas introducing ourselves more to the community.

Neighboring Resort

A couple of days ago we met with a neighbor who is allowing us to extract sea grass from her beach for filling the property.  This work began today as well.

Sunday Fellowship

Today our Bible fellowship took place under the palm trees next to the Caribbean.  A local Belizean who joined us was thankful to know you do not have to worship God in a building.  What a refreshing day!

John 4:23-24
23But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
