Wall, Delivery, Approval, Bodega

Wednesday, August 10th, we saw many things accomplished.  First, workers diligently finished building a wall of harvested sticks to keep the lodo (mud) on the property.

Secondly, we had materials delivered at the end of the road for the building of a bodega (storage shed).  By experience, we knew the road would not be able to hold the weight of the truck.  Regardless the driver decided to try anyway; the truck got stuck!  Struggling to get the truck out for several minutes, we saw the heart of the Belizeans as workers from across the street quickly came to assist our volunteers when they heard the spinning of tires.

After a few loads back and forth from the main road to the property, we were able to successfully stack the materials at the building site.  In the process, our Belizean draftsman called and informed us that the building plans for the school building had been approved!  We now have to pay to get our license then the building for the schoolroom can begin! This building will serve many functions until the campus is completed.

By late morning we started on the bodega (storage shed); by early afternoon the framing for the floor was squared up, and the flooring was almost complete.

We ended the day with a word study of the Bible with our fellow Belizean brother.  What a day!

Sunday Fellowship

Today our Bible fellowship took place under the palm trees next to the Caribbean.  A local Belizean who joined us was thankful to know you do not have to worship God in a building.  What a refreshing day!

John 4:23-24
23But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

He is Risen

Matthew 28:5, 6
“And the angel answered and said…, ‘Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.  He is not here: for he is risen….’ ”

I Corinthians 2:7, 8
“But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery…which God ordained before the world…which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”

“Satan would have preferred a living Jesus Christ rather than Christ Jesus living in every born-again believer.” – The Church the Great Mystery Revealed by Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille.

I Corinthians 2:9, 10
“…eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.  But God hath revealed them unto us by His spirit: for the spirit searcheth all things, yea the deep things of God.”

I Cor (risen and firstfruits)
“But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.”

Romans 8:34, 37 (risen…more than conquerors)
“…It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us...we are more than conquerors throught him that loved us.”

Col 3:1-4 (risen…seek those things above)
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”

Central Park Fellowship

Living Tree Academy’s first open fellowship was held in Central Park for anyone who wanted to be involved.  Kevin Bell led the fellowship and Anthony Gilmore taught Biblical principles on the “Renewed Mind is the Key to Power” from the Power for Abundant Living book by Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille.

Some local San Pedrans participated, and a local restaurant donated their chairs for the fellowship.  Afterwards, a group went to Sunset Grill for lunch which was suggested by our young neighbor who had joined us for the morning.  A local Belizean-American from the US who works in Belize as a teacher offered great insight on operating a school in Belize as we ate lunch.  Thank you for your continued believing, prayers and support.
